The source of Brevinin-2SN3 is Hylarana spinulosa. It is active against some Gram-negative and a variety of Gram-positive bacterial strains. Brevinin-2SN3 is also active against fungus C.glabrata 090902 but not against C.albicans. It shows hemolytic activity against human erythrocytes.
