CATH-2 (chicken) is one of the four cathelicidins found in chickens and has immunomodulatory abilities. Cathelicidin is a family of host defense peptides (HDPs) that play an important role in innate immune responses. CATH-2 shows strong antimicrobial activity against many different pathogens, including Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and fungi.
