Frenatin-1 is an antimicrobial peptide with selective activity. Frenatin-1 is only active against Micrococcus luteus (MIC=25 µg/ml) and not against Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, Leuconostoc mesenteroides, Micrococcus luteus, Pastewella haemolytica, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus faecalis and Streptococcus uberis.
