1.Development of a gas phase source for perfluoroalkyl acids to examine atmospheric sampling methods.

An inability to produce environmentally relevant gaseous mixing ratios of perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs), ubiquitous global contaminants, limits the analytical reliability of atmospheric chemists to make accurate gas and particulate measurements that are demonstrably free of interferences due to sampling artefacts. A gas phase source for PFAAs based on the acid displacement mechanism using perfluoropropionate (PFPrA), perfluorobutanoate (PFBA), perfluorohexanoate (PFHxA), and perfluorooctanoate (PFOA) has been constructed. The displacement efficiency of gas phase perfluorocarboxylic acids (PFCAs) is inversely related to chain length. Decreasing displacement efficiencies for PFPrA, PFBA, PFHxA, and PFOA were 90% ± 20%, 40% ± 10%, 40% ± 10%, 9% ± 4%, respectively. Generating detectable amounts of gas phase perfluorosulfonic acids (PFSAs) was not possible. It is likely that lower vapour pressure and much higher acidity play a role in this lack of emission.

English, RussianРезюме Цель исследования. Обобщить опыт гематологов по диагностике и дифференциальной диагностике лимфомы красной пульпы селезенки (ЛКПС). Материалы и методы. За 2013—2014 гг. в ФГБУ ГНЦ выполнено исследование биоптатов 87 селезенок, удаленных при различных В-клеточных лимфопролиферативных заболеваниях. В 4 (4,6%) случаях на основании морфологического, иммуногистохимического, иммунофенотипического, молекулярного исследований биоптата селезенки, проб крови, костного мозга (КМ) установлен диагноз ЛКПС. Результаты. Во всех случаях ЛКПС наблюдалась значительная спленомегалия, лимфоцитоз от 56 до 94% (в 2 случаях с лейкоцитозом 55·109 и 75·109/л), циркуляция «ворсинчатых» лимфоцитов с фенотипом CD20+(ярко), CD11c+/±, CD103(слабо)+/±, LAIR-1+, CD25–, CD5–, CD10–, CD23–, не содержащих тартратустойчивую кислую фосфатазу, без мутации BRAFV600E. КМ с незначительной лимфоидной инфильтрацией CD20+, CD25–, Annexin 1–, Cyclin D1–.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Metformin hydrochloride (MTF-HCl) is extensively recommended by physicians for the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Mechanistically, MTF-HCl activates AMP-dependent kinase-α (AMPK-α) pathway to decrease the glucose production, enhances fatty acid oxidation and elevates the uptake of glucose in tissues. However, despite favourable physicochemical properties, oral administration of MTF-HCl is associated with impaired bioavailability (50-60%), lactic-acidosis and frequent dosing (500mg 2-3 times a day) in PCOS that ultimately influence the patient compliance. Therefore, in present investigation, MTF-HCl loaded unmodified and cationic small unilamellar niosomes were separately amalgamated with thermosensitive gel (MTF-HCl-SUNs-Gel and MTF-HCl-C-SUNs-Gel) for the treatment of PCOS through vaginal route of administration.
4.Development and validation of dissolution testings in acidic media for rabeprazole sodium delayed-release capsules.

Rabeprazole sodium (RAB) dissolved in acidic media is accompanied by its degradation in the course of dissolution testing. To develop and establish the accumulative release profiles of ACIPHEX® Sprinkle (RAB) delayed-release capsules (ACIPHEX® Sprinkle) in acidic media using USP apparatus 2 (paddle apparatus) as a dissolution tester, the issues of determination of accumulative release amount of RAB in these acidic media and interference of hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose phthalate were solved by adding appropriate hydrochloric acid (HCl) into dissolution samples coupled with centrifugation so as to remove the interference and form a solution of degradation products of RAB, which is of a considerably stable ultraviolet (UV) absorbance at the wavelength of 298 nm within 2.0 h. Therefore, the accumulative release amount of RAB in dissolution samples at each sample time points could be determined by UV-spectrophotometry, and the accumulative release profiles of ACIPHEX® Sprinkle in the media of pH 1.
