Pardaxin 1 is an antimicrobial peptide found in Pardachirus pavoninus (Pacific Peacock sole, Achirus pavoninus), and has antimicrobial activity. It is used as a shark repellent and causes lysis of mammalian and bacterial cells, similar to melittin.
