Pleurain-B1 is an antimicrobial peptide found in Rana pleuraden (Yunnan pond frog). It has antibacterial activity against gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli (MIC=25 μg/ml) and gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus (MIC=3.1 μg/ml), Bacillus subtilis (MIC=3.1 μg/ml), and has anti-yeast activity against Candida albicans (MIC=1.6 μg/ml).
